Join us for five weeks of mahjong as Lucky League returns this fall!
Starting Thursday, September 10th at 6:30 PM, we’re taking over Park & Field every Thursday for five weeks of social play with a lighthearted competitive edge.
Each week, the scores from your first four games will count toward your season total. Finish four games before the night is over? Keep playing! You’re welcome to get in as many games as you’d like—only your first four will count toward the League standings.
With open seating each week, you’ll mix it up and play with different people throughout the League, giving you the chance to meet new players and play against different styles.
We’ll have weekly prizes, plus bigger prizes for our top finishers at the end of the five weeks. Scoring will be tracked, but the spirit is all about fun, connection, and plenty of mahjong. Whether you’re in it to win or just love having a standing Thursday night game, we’d love to have you!
Park & Field’s full food and drink menu will be available for purchase throughout each League night, so grab a bite or a drink while you play.

Yes! You should be able to play American mahjong independently and according to NMJL rules, but you do not need to be an advanced player. No instruction will be provided during League play.

We ask that you make every effort to find a substitute so we can keep full tables. You can find someone on your own or use the Lucky League room in BFF to connect with potential subs. Once confirmed, email jenn@themahjongsociety.com with your sub’s name.

Bring your 2026 NMJL card! We’ll provide the mahjong sets and everything else needed for League play.

We’ll score according to NMJL rules. Don’t know how that works? No worries! Members of our team will be on hand to answer questions and everyone will be provided with a scoring guide.
Your first four games each week will count toward your season total. If you finish four games early, keep playing! Additional games are just for fun and won’t count toward the standings.

No house rules in this league! While we love the creative spins people put on the game, there’s a time and a place for blanks, stacks, and messy mahjong. The League isn’t it!
