We always recommend for new students to practice online after their first lesson, but online games are fun for any level of player! We use I Love Mahj, which allows you to play games with bots or virtually with friends. We highly recommend their “Make a Hand” exercise for beginners who are trying to familiarize themselves with the NMJL card.

The Basics
To start with just the basics, you need a few things: tiles, a set of racks, and a National Mah Jongg League card. We also recommend a mat - they aren’t strictly necessary, but help protect both your tiles and table!
