The Lucky Tile Classic

The Mahjong Society is excited to announce the first annual Lucky League Classic – an American mahjong tournament that welcomes everyone to the table.

If you've ever been curious about tournament play but weren't quite sure you were "tournament ready," this one is for you.

We created this tournament to combine real tournament rules and competitive play with the welcoming, social atmosphere you already know from The Mahjong Society.

The Lucky League Classic will follow established tournament rules, developed by Destination Mah Jongg, while still being approachable to players who are new to competition.

Players will follow the same standard used at tournaments across the country. You'll play timed rounds, rotate tables, meet lots of other players, and keep score using tournament rules. There will be prizes for the players who rise to the top.

This is a great option for anyone who is tournament-curious, and it will prepare you well for when Destination Mah Jongg comes to Chicago in July 2027!
